The Joseph Anointing 365 Devotional: Day 7

Beginning of the year I stared a 365 daily devotional on the life of Joseph, my all time favorite OT leader. I will share it on here once in while. Here's today's insight:

Day 7 (Jan 7, 2014)

Gen 48:11, "I had not thought to see thy face: and lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed."
It feels over, seems over, looks and sounds over but it's not over till God says it's over. Out of Jacob, God formed Israel amd out of Israel came 12 sons. Each son had unique characteristics that parallel the 12 significant areas in man. Joseph represents our future, our dreams, the promise, and destiny. Like Jacob, life has a way of presenting undeniable evidence that our dreams are dead and forgotten (blood on the multi-colored coat); or that certain promises are lost or missed.
But God..... he is so faithful and reminds us through Joseph that a hidden promise is not a lifeless promise; it is strategically being perfected in the loneliness and darkness of a dungeon.
Stand strong knowing that not only will your dream/purpose/calling/vision come to pass but it shall bear fruit and keep living well after you are gone. God has not forgotten you. You shall see the fruit of the fruit of your labour.
